Metze_picture.jpg

After being invited to a new church plant, Bob trusted Christ as Savior when he was 13 years old. Terri was privileged to grow up in a Christian home and was saved when she was five years old. Bob and Terri met in their home church and they attended Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Owatonna, MN. They were married in 1983 after Bob’s graduation.

Bob completed his MDiv at Calvary Baptist Seminary in Lansdale, PA in 1989 and served in his home church, Calvary Baptist Church of Lancaster, PA for 13 years as assistant pastor. God then directed the Metzes to Mexico City where they served in church planting and pastoral training for ten years.

Since 2011, Bob has been serving as Director of Theological Curriculum and Pastoral Training at Editorial Bautista Independiente (EBI) and has begun work on his D.Min thesis project at Calvary Baptist Seminary. In addition to writing and editing materials, Bob also teaches courses in Bible institutes and seminaries throughout Latin America.

Paul Fulks Missionary Report
12:30 pm - 2 pm

8d3b9565371d3650d2a7d25fea2cf748.jpgPaul had the privilege of growing up in Peru and seeing the joy of serving in missions from an early age. At age four, Paul recognized his sin before a holy God and need for a personal Savior. Paul’s mom shared with him the Gospel, and he placed his trust in Christ alone. Paul took four missions trips during his high school years, one of which went to Salt Lake City, UT. While there, the Lord impressed upon him the need for more Gospel-centered churches in the Salt Lake Valley. Paul attended Northland International University and majored in Pastoral Studies.
Laura grew up in New York City as a pastor’s daughter. Laura realized her need for salvation at the age of four. She trusted in Christ as the One who had taken sins penalty upon Himself on her behalf. Laura is so thankful for God’s grace in her life, and she recognizes the joy of sharing that Gospel with others. Laura studied both Bible and History Education at Northland International University in Dunbar, Wisconsin. Paul and Laura met while studying at college and were married on May 16, 2009. Reagan Marie, was born on February 14, 2012, Logan Timothy, was born on December 11, 2013, and Brooklyn Leah, was born on March 31, 2016.

Dan Klaus Missionary Report
12:30 pm - 2 pm

Klaus_picture.JPGJoin us this Sunday during the afternoon service as we hear from the Klaus family - Daniel, Maggy, Havilah, Ian and Ezekiel. Dan and Maggy were married the summer of 2006 after Maggy graduated from Maranatha Baptist Bible College. Following Daniel’s graduation from Ambassador Baptist College in 2008, they spent the summer together as a family in NYC. It was during this time that God confirmed in their hearts the desire to serve Him as church planters there. That Fall, they moved back to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where Daniel became the Assistant Pastor at Souls Harbor Baptist Church. During the three years they ministered at SHBC, they learned much about serving God in an urban environment. In the Fall of 2011, Souls Harbor commissioned them as missionaries to New York City, and the Klaus's moved to Brooklyn, where Daniel became the Assistant Pastor at Memorial Baptist Church. For the past five years, they have been serving in Brooklyn, growing in their experience and knowledge of ministering in one of the world’s largest cities. Over the last few years, God has been burdening their hearts for the need of a Gospel-centered, Independent Baptist church in Manhattan’s Lower East Side neighborhood. It is their goal to have a Bible study started in that neighborhood by the Fall of 2017. They are currently raising support for this church planting endeavor.
