Ministries | Teens
"Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity." (1 Timothy 4:12)
ProTeen Clubs
We provide all teenagers from 7th - 12th grade with a focused Bible study opportunity using the Positive Action for Christ curriculum. This ministry is designed to develop mature, Christ-focused young people. It emphasizes a personal walk with God, a healthy relationship with parents, and faithful church participation. This ministry features several core elements:
Sunday Groups
These groups meet during our Sunday afternoon Bible study session and provide an opportunity for young people to study God's Word in an intensive, practical way. These sessions offer a thorough, biblical outlook on important topics and include engaging discussions, encouraging testimonies, singing, and prayer.
Individual Mentorship
We provide each young person with an experienced, qualified mentor who guides them through a series of Bible studies that help them tackle basic and advanced doctrines of the Christian faith, know Christ in a personal way, and share the gospel with others. Teens progress through these studies on their own, followed by regular times of review and input from their mentor.
Daily Devotions
We provide every teen with a devotional journal for the entire year. Young people receive credit for completing their weekly devotions and will have the opportunity in their Sunday groups to share what God has taught them.
Fellowship Events
To build friendships and teamwork, our young people enjoy regular fellowship events such as bowling, laser tag, mini golf, and recreational activities at local parks. These events also provide an opportunity for teens to invite friends from outside of church and include occasional rallies in partnership with other likeminded churches.
Ministry Events
To encourage a passion for service, we provide regular opportunities for our teens to meet needs in various ways, including: church cleaning, gospel outreach, assisting other churches in the NYC metro area, Sunday luncheon cleaning, helping or teaching in a Sunday School class or in the Kids for Truth program, and taking a missions trip within the United States or to a foreign country.
Summer Camp
Our teens (7th - 12th grade) look forward to an annual week away at The Wilds of New England before a new year of school begins. This camp experience includes exciting team competitions, fun activities (like dodgeball, basketball, volleyball, zipline, laser tag, and bazooka ball), and most importantly three daily opportunities to hear or read God’s Word. Faith Baptist Church provides scholarship resources for church young people who demonstrate Christian faithfulness, maturity, and a heart for service throughout the year.
The COLA War
Each year in July we host an outreach ministry to area teenagers in partnership with volunteers from First Baptist Church of Glen Este, Ohio. This exciting five-day, two-team competition features outdoor games, dinner, and preaching from the Word of God. It occurs Monday - Friday, 7 - 9 p.m., at Flushing Meadow Park.

SAFETY AND WORKER TRAINING
The safety of your children is our top priority at Faith Baptist Church. We provide all children's and teen ministry workers with regular training and require them to undergo background screening through Protect My Ministry, an organization dedicated to helping ministries provide a safe environment for young people.
