Doug Lowery Preaching
11 am - 12:30 pm

Doug_Lowery.jpgThis Sunday, Doug Lowery will be speaking for the morning service. Brother Lowery was the founding pastor of Faith Baptist Church who shepherded the church for many years. Plan to join us this Sunday as Brother Lowery preaches from the Word and shares some special music.

After graduating from Bible college, Doug and Donna Lowery recognized the need for a vibrant, Bible-believing church in the Queens borough. Believing that God would open doors of opportunity, the Lowery family moved to Corona to reach out to engage in gospel outreach and train new believers. The church chartered in September 1975 and incorporated in February 1976 as Faith Baptist Church, meeting first in the basement of the Lowery home.

HPS_6_30_Family_Camp.pngTragedy & Triumph

The Bible is filled with stories of flawed people who lived for God. Though they made repeated mistakes, their lives were defined by their enduring faith in God's grace. This is especially true in the book of Genesis, the story of how God built a nation through a family. In the stories of the Jewish patriarchs, we see God's grace overcoming personal foibles, family conflicts, and moral failures. We resonate with these stories because these individuals were just like us. We seek to follow God, but too often we are beaten by besetting sins.

Join us this year for Family Camp as we examine the stories of the people in Genesis and learn how the grace of God triumphs in tragedy. In addition to the main teaching sessions, we will provide teaching on biblical principles for how to overcome depression in the Christian life. Make your plans to be with us this summer for refreshing fellowship and helpful biblical teaching.
