We are pleased to welcome Maranatha Baptist University's summer ensemble to our church this weekend. The Heritage Singers will minister to our church family through vocal and instrumental music. The concert will be followed by a brief Bible message and a lunch for everyone in attendance. We hope you and your family will plan to attend to be blessed through sacred songs. Parents and teens are especially encouraged to attend to learn more about this excellent Christian institution.

We are excited to kickoff our ProTeens ministry for teens in 7th-12th grade. This Sunday morning Bible study will focus on many topics relevant to Christian young people. Weekly lessons will emphasize the importance of a close walk with God, a healthy relationship with parents, and involvement in the local church. Bible study groups of middle school and high school facilitate important questions and healthy conversation. Teachers will provide Bible study materials so teens can follow along during the lesson and discussion time every Sunday. In addition, we offer devotional journals and personal Bible study booklets (Milk, Meat, Bread, Fish) for teens to use throughout the week. Any teens who need these materials should contact Pastor Christian Acosta.

This summer, join us for an adventure through God's Word. Each week, children in 1st - 6th grade will discover truths about the Bible, God, and the world he created. We will learn these truths through weekly memorization of questions and answers based on a variety of Bible passages. This foundational teaching will be reinforced with exciting competitions and fun activities. We look forward to having your young people learning and growing in God's Word.

Our church has revamped our midweek prayer service. Rather than meeting in person at the church building, we are encouraging our church members to join an online Zoom prayer meeting. During these meetings, we will receive weekly prayer requests, sing hymns of worship, and bring our petitions to the Lord. We are thrilled to host a youth soccer tournament at Flushing Meadow Park this summer. This event will feature a number of teams from around the community of kids in 4th-6th grade (entering 4th grade, leaving 6th grade) competing for the top prize. The tournament will take place at Soccer Field 5 (near the Aquatic Center and Fountain of the Planets) with bleachers and public restrooms nearby. Here's what you and your teammates can expect for this event:

• Coed teams (6 players minimum, 10 players max)
• Double elimination (every team will play at least twice)
• Prizes for the top three teams
• Uplifting Bible message

Registration

In order to register, you can follow the QR code on the flyer or follow this link to the registration form online. The form must be completed by a parent/guardian. Be ready with the full roster of your team and your team name. Registration closes on Wed, July 5 at 8 p.m., so build your team and get ready for a day of intense competition.
