PROTEENS_LOGO.jpg

"Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12

We are excited to kickoff our ProTeens ministry for teens in 7th-12th grade. This Sunday morning Bible study will focus on many topics relevant to Christian young people. Weekly lessons will emphasize the importance of a close walk with God, a healthy relationship with parents, and involvement in the local church. Bible study groups of middle school and high school facilitate important questions and healthy conversation. Teachers will provide Bible study materials so teens can follow along during the lesson and discussion time every Sunday. In addition, we offer devotional journals and personal Bible study booklets (Milk, Meat, Bread, Fish) for teens to use throughout the week. Any teens who need these materials should contact Pastor Christian Acosta.

Children can learn about the importance of ministry in the local church from a young age. One way they can do that is by growing in their musical abilities. That's why we are thrilled to introduce Patch and Peewee Clubs this Fall. This special ministry will provide your children with weekly Bible lessons, fun activities, and training in music. We look forward to preparing the children of our church to minister in song during our services.

Couples' Retreat
All Day

HPS_10_21_22_Couples_Retreat.png

When storms of life - financial hardships, loss of a loved one, health problems, unfaithfulness, etc - threaten to pull our marriage apart, what can we do? What should we do?

During our retreat, we will focus on how God in His grace can enable us to keep our vows, fulfill our roles, carefully communicate with each other, mercifully forgive, and actually grow closer to each other and to Christ through the hard times.

Join us for a special weekend of strengthening our marriages for a lifelong journey of God-honoring partnership. You will enjoy some much-needed recreation, Bible teaching, fellowship with other couples, and time alone with your spouse. Teaching will focus on the importance of couples having a close and dynamic walk with God. The schedule will feature group sessions and question-and-answer opportunities.

If you would like a printable copy of the retreat brochure and registration information, you can pick one up at church, or click the PDF here. Couples-Retreat-2022

After 26 years of serving the Lord at Faith Baptist, Vinny and Terri Sawyer moved to Florida in 2014. There Vinny began Macedonian Call Ministries, traveling overseas to train pastors primarily in third-world countries. In 2016, Victory Baptist Church of Port Charlotte, Florida, asked Vinny to consider becoming their senior pastor. After months of prayer, the Sawyers took on this new ministry while also continuing to make some overseas missions trips as well. God has blessed the Sawyers with 4 grown children and 13 grandchildren.
